So Michael Jackson died today and a lot of people seem to care.... Not just care, but they're sad about it. Which is understandable when you think about him as the "King of Pop", the music icon who (allegedly) sold over 750 million records. Which I guess is fine, but do you also remember O.J. Simpson as a great football player? Chris Benoit as a great wrestler? Phil Spector as as a great producer? Gary Glitter as the writer for some of the best hockey anthems ever? No? Then why do we do this with Jacko? Why do we remember the good when he's done so much wrong (allegedly)? Is it cause he was never convicted? O.J. wasn't convicted and he's NEVER brought up in conversation as one of the greatest running backs ever, which he probably was. The same people who are sad about this were happy for Kobe when the Lakers beat the Magic this year.

A bastard in life is a bastard in death. I'm not happy he's dead but I don't morn the loss.
